With over 25 years of experience in San Francisco Bay Area real estate, Michael Harrington has built a reputation for excellence in property sales, leasing, management, and financing. Michael’s career began in investment banking with Bear Stearns and Oppenheimer & Co., advising high-net-worth clients. In 2001, he founded Summit Mortgage Advisors, which quickly became a top-200 mortgage firm nationwide. He later launched Heights Properties Real Estate, a boutique firm managing over 200 San Francisco properties. Michael also served as President of Property Management at Pacific Union, overseeing over 4,000 residential and commercial units.

Since joining Sotheby’s International Realty in 2016, Michael has ranked among the top 100 agents nationwide. He specializes in working with private clientele for off market sales, selling some of the most expensive homes in San Francisco. His expertise spans market analysis, financing strategies, rental property management, and negotiations, providing clients with a seamless real estate experience.

An avid athlete, Michael is a ten-time Escape from Alcatraz competitor and a six-time Ironman finisher. Currently Michael is an active member of the San Francisco Olympic Club. He lives in Pacific Heights with his wife, a cafe/bakery owner, and their two dogs, a King Charles Cavalier and an English Mastiff.
